Stock Issue – An overview

Introduction

Stock Issue distributes material from warehouse. Depending on the requirement raised by different organizational units/departments material is issued from the warehouse.

Feature Highlights

There are different kinds of issues namely production, maintenance, sales, inventory, subcontract, stock transfer and unplanned issues.  Production issues are based on pick order or work order (for discrete production) and production order (for process production). Maintenance issue could be based on work order, pick order or maintenance plan. Sales issue is automatically created in inventory when Sales issue task is executed in packslip. Material Request is the reference document for Inventory Issue. A subcontract issue could be based on a Subcontract order, release slip or blanket order. A stock transfer issue is automatically created in inventory when Sales issue task is executed in packslip. When goods are returned to a vendor using GRV then an automatic unplanned issue is created from the warehouse.   Items can be issued even if free stock is zero in unplanned issue and maintenance issue in case of emergencies. Usage for cost center and usage for Account code are provided, based on which the cost center and account code will be defaulted. Issue will always be done at the value maintained in stock maintenance.
