Maintain Unit – A summary of the activity

This activity allows the user to create a unit. The user can specify the unit type, the serial number, the location code and the end customer code. The system automatically generates a unique unit. The generation of Unit  is based on any one of the following – Auto Number Generation, Item-Variant-Serial Number combination or Serial Number. The rule for the Unit code generation is set in the Function Parameters activity. This activity also allows the user to specify any additional details for the unit, the spares required for the unit and the trouble shooting guide attached to the unit.
