Estimate – An overview

Introduction

Cost Estimation helps you in quoting a price for a product requested by a customer. Also may be used for product cost analysis purposes. For a new request for quotation from a customer, the estimator may collaboratively come up with an estimate for the product/products requested. For new Products while you may come up with the design, you may also use the bill or process details of a similar product for the current estimation (with minor adjustments as is required). Additionally you may suggest quantity breaks giving volume discounts to the customer. Overheads may be added before converting this estimate into a quotation. Margins may also be added as is required. The estimation component comes with a stored procedure builder tool, whereby any complex / custom calculations for estimations may be handled using this tool. You can maintain multiple versions for the estimates of the product.
