Basics of using Ramco Enterprise series web page

Using online help

This activity allows the user to maintain the existing User activity details and create new user activities.

The “Maintain Activity” page appears.

Activity Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of activity (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. The system retrieves the values as defined in the “Category Master” business component.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the activity (Alphanumeric, 20). Mandatory. It can be “Planned”, “Completed” or “Cancelled”. The system displays “Planned” by default on the launch of the page.

Date

The date on which the activity is planned (Date Format). Mandatory. The date should not be earlier than the system date.

Start Time

The time at which the activity is planned (Time Format). Mandatory. The system ensures that this filed is not left blank.

Duration (h)

The duration of the activity (Integer). Mandatory.

Sales Person Code

The code identifying the sales person (Alphanumeric, 6) Mandatory.

The system ensures that this field is not left blank and checks for the validity of the entered code, else, the system throws an error message.

The system displays the following details:

Name

The last name corresponding to the sales person code entered (Alphanumeric, 6).

Success %

Use the drop-down list box to select the success percentage (Alphanumeric, 40). The system populates the list box with the values that are defined under the category type LM success of the “Category Master” business component.

Opportunity ID

The code identifying the opportunity  (Alphanumeric, 18).

 

Press <Enter> key.

 

The system checks for the validity of the entered code, else, the system throws an error message.

The system displays the following:

Opportunity Desc.

A textual description of the opportunity.

Subject

The subject to be discussed during the activity (Alphanumeric, 1000).

Location

The location at which the activity is to be held (Alphanumeric, 30).

Comments

Comments, if any (Alphanumeric, 1000).

Contact ID

The code identifying the contact (Alphanumeric, 18).

The system ensures that this field is not left blank and checks for the validity of the entered code, else, the system throws an error message. The system retrieves and displays the corresponding customer code, name and the address id of the specified contact id.

Customer Code

The code identifying the customer (Alphanumeric, 18).

The system ensures that this field is not left blank and checks for the validity of the entered code, else, the system throws an error message. The system retrieves and displays the corresponding customer name and the address id of the specified customer code.

The system displays the following details in the “Customer Contacts” multiline:            

Customer Name

The Last name identifying the customer (Alphanumeric, 40).

Contact Name

The Last name identifying the contact (Alphanumeric, 40).

Department

The code identifying the department of the contact (Alphanumeric, 40).

Phone

The phone number of the customer (Alphanumeric, 18).

Mobile

The mobile number of the customer (Alphanumeric, 20).

E-Mail

The E-mail address of the customer (Alphanumeric, 60).

Address ID

The code identifying the address id of the customer (Alphanumeric, 12).

Response

The description pertaining to the response towards the activity (Alphanumeric, 1000).

 

Zoom facility available.

The system calculates and stores the end date and end time by adding the duration to the start date and start time. If the all day event is checked then the duration is calculated in multiples of 24 hrs.

The system saves the reminder time as “0” if the alarm flag is checked and the reminder time is not entered. If the alarm flag is not checked and the reminder time is entered, the reminder time is not saved.

The system ensures that the employee code of the sales person is same as the employee code that is mapped to the login user, else, the system throws an error message.
