This page allows you to either hold or release the contract selected from the multiline. You can put on hold the contracts that are in the “Fresh”, “Draft”, “Returned”, “Authorized”, “Held” status. The status of the contract that is put to hold is updated to “Held” status. You can enter the reason code due to which you want to put the contract on hold. You can also release a contract that has been put on hold in this page. The status of the contract is updated to the status in which it was prior to putting it to “Hold”.
Select the “Hold-Release Contract” link at the top of “Select Contracts“ page.
The “Hold - Release Contract” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Status |
The status of the contract. It can be either “Fresh” or “Draft” or ”Held” or “Authorized” or “Returned”. |
Enter the following details:
Contract No. |
The number identifying the contract (Alphanumeric, 18). The system checks for the validity of the contract number if it is not left blank. |
The system displays the following field:
Amendment No. |
The number identifying an amendment made on the contract. |
Contract Date |
The date on which the contract was created. |
Numbering Series |
The prefix and suffix for the contract number. The numbering series that are related to contract are retrieved from the “Numbering Class” business component. |
Contract Type |
The type of contract. It can be either “Blanket Sale Order” or “Agreement”. |
Folder |
The classification of the contract. The values are populated from the “Category” business component in alphabetical order. |

The system displays the following field details in the “Customer Details” group box:
Customer Code |
The code identifying the customer. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer. |
Customer Address Id. |
The address ID identifying the address of the customer. |
Bill To Customer Code |
The code identifying the customer to whom the invoices are to be sent. |
Bill To Address Id. |
The address id of customer to whom the invoices are to be sent. |
Customer PO No. |
The number identifying the purchase order of the customer. |
Customer PO Date |
The date on which the customer has prepared the purchase order. |
Contact Person |
The name of the contact person. The person recommended by the customer to be contacted. |
Ref. Doc. Name |
The name of the reference document. |
Ref. Doc. No. |
The number identifying the reference document. |
Sales Person Code |
The code identifying the salesperson. |
Sales Person Name |
The name of the salesperson. |
Sales Team Code |
The code identifying the sales team. |
Sales Team Desc. |
The description of the sales team. |
Enter the following field:
Reason Code For Holding |
The code identifying the reason for which a sale order is held or released (Alphanumeric, 5). The system ensures that this field is not left blank. The system checks for the existence of the code and also for its validity. If it is valid, then the description pertaining to the reason code is retrieved. |

Click the “Hold Contract” pushbutton to hold the selected contract.
The system updates the status of the contract to "Held".
Click the “Release Contract” pushbutton to release the selected contract.
The system updates the order status to the status prior to putting the sale order on “Hold”.

Select the “View Blanket Sale Order” link at the bottom of the page to view the blanket sale order details.
