This page allows you to create a link between the activity time type and the cost element with respect to the resource. Tell me more
Select the “Create Resource Cost Details” link under the “Process Model” business component.
The “Create Resource Cost Details” page appears.
Enter the following fields:
Resource No. |
The number identifying the resource for which you want to create the cost details . Mandatory. |
Press <Enter> key. |

The resource should not be left blank. The resource should be valid and should be “Active” status. The system ensures that the costing for resource should be set in resource master. It also ensures that at least one activity time type should be mapped to the resource. The system retrieves the resource details. |

Click the “Get” pushbutton to retrieve the resource details.
Enter the following fields:
Maintained By |
Use the drop-down list box to select the “Maintained By” control units for which the login user has “Transaction” and/or “View” access permissions. Mandatory. The system retrieves the control units from the “Organization Model” business component. The system displays the default value based on the value saved through the save template field. Otherwise, the system displays the “Default Maintained By” defined for the login user. If neither the default “Maintained By” or the default through the save template field exist, then the system displays the first value as the default value. |
Status |
Use the drop down list box to select the appropriate status of the resource. Mandatory. The system displays “Active” by default on launch of the page. The options available are: |

The system displays the following:

The cost center to which the resource is attached. |

Enter the following fields in the “Activity Cost Element Link Details” multiline:
Activity Timetype |
The code identifying the activity time type that has been defined. Mandatory. |
Press <Enter> key. |

The time type should not be left blank and should exist in the activity time type master for the login Business Unit. The activity time type should be valid and should be in “Active” for the login Business Unit. The system retrieves the activity time type details and cost elements mapped to the resource. |

The system displays the following in the “Activity Cost Element Link Details” multiline:

The number identifying the cost element defined under the cost center. Mandatory. The cost element should not be duplicated. |

The cost element should not be left blank. The cost element should be valid and should be in “Active” status. The system retrieves the cost element description from the “Cset” business component. |

The system displays the following in the “Activity Cost Element Link Details” multiline:

Click the “Get” pushbutton to retrieve the activity time type details.
Click the “Get” pushbutton to retrieve the cost element details.
Check the box in the “Select” column to select the resource cost details for creating the link.
Click the “Create Resource Cost Details” pushbutton to create the resource cost details.
The login user should have “All” permission for the "Maintained by" control unit of the resource cost details. The system checks the status of the resource. If the status is set to “Draft” then the system saves the details with status as “Draft” without any other validations. The resource cost details cannot be created in “Inactive” status. The system checks that at least one row in the multiline should be present. The system updates the resource and activity time type details.
The login user ID and the system date are updated in the “Created By” and “Created Date” fields.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Edit Resource Cost Details” link at the bottom of the page to modify activity cost details.
The system displays the following:

The login user ID of the person who has created the resource cost details. |
Created Date |
The date on which the resource cost details was created. |
Create Resource Cost Details – An overview
The activity time type that represents the sub-activities run on the resource can be selected and linked to appropriate cost elements that are defined under the cost center. You can establish the link in the multiline by selecting the activity time types and cost elements. If the activity time type and cost element is already defined for the resource, the same is fetched onto the multiline. Otherwise, you need to explicitly map the activity time type and the cost element to the selected resource.
The activity time types and the cost elements are mapped based on the business unit. In the multiline, you can capture the standard rate of the cost element defined. You can make use of the necessary help facility to fetch the resource, activity time type and cost element details.
Mandatory
Resource No should have been defined in the “Create Resource” activity of the “Process Model” business component.
Maintained by should have been defined in the “Create Control Unit” activity of the “Organisation Model” business component.
Activity Time Type should have been defined in the “Create Activity Cost Details” activity of the “Process Model” business component.
Cost Element should have been defined in the “Create Cost Element ” activity of the “Cost Setup” business component.
Cost Center should have been defined in the “Maintain Cost Center” activity of the “Costing Model” business component.
