This activity allows you to modify the activity time type and cost element details attached to each resource. You can enter the resource number, if the same is known or make use of the help facility. On fetching the resource, the activity time types and the cost element get displayed in the multiline. You can retrieve the activity time type and cost element details to be modified. You can modify either the activity time type or the cost element defined on the resource.
Apart from modifying, you can also delete the mapped activity time types and cost elements. Mark the rows to be deleted by selecting the appropriate activity time types and cost elements in the multiline. You can initiate the delete operation to delete the marked rows.
Select the “Edit Resource Cost Details” link under the “Process Model” business component.
The “Edit Resource Cost Details” page appears.
Modify the following, if required:

The number identifying the resource for which you want to create the cost details. Mandatory. |

The resource should not be left blank. The resource should be valid and should be “Active” status. The system ensures that the costing for resource should be set in resource master. It also ensures that at least one activity time type should be mapped to the resource. The system retrieves the resource details. |

Use the drop-down list box to select the “Maintained By” control units for which the login user has “Transaction” and/or “View” access permissions. Mandatory. The system retrieves the control units from the “Organization Model” business component. The system displays the “Default Maintained By” defined for the login user. Otherwise, the system displays the first value as the default value. |

Click the “Get” pushbutton to retrieve the selected activity time type details.
Click the “Get” pushbutton to retrieve the selected cost element details.
Check the box in the “Select” column to select the resource cost for deleting its details.
Click the “Delete” pushbutton to delete the marked rows in the “Activity Cost Element Link Details” multiline.
The system checks if there are rows marked for deletion then the login user should have “All” access permission for the "Maintained By" control unit of the resource cost link. If the specified activity time type is marked for deletion for the specified resource, then the system checks if the selected activity time type and cost element link is present. If it is present then the system deletes the link for the resource.
Check the box in the “Select” column to select the resource cost for modifying its details.
Click the “Edit Resource Cost Details” pushbutton to modify resource cost details.
The system ensures that the login user should have “Modify” or “All” access permission for the "Maintained by" control units of the resource cost link. The system checks the status. If status is being changed from “Draft” to “Inactive”, then there is no need for any validations. If status is changed from “Active” to “Inactive” and the "Maintained By" control unit has only “Modify” permissions for the login user, then the system displays an error message. The system checks that at least one sub-activity should be selected. The system saves the activity time type details. The status from “Inactive” to “Draft” or from “Active” to “Draft” is not permitted.
The login user ID and the system date are updated in the “Created By”, “Created Date”, “Edited By” and “Edited Date” fields.
