This activity allows you to create consumption report for the input items of the selected work order. Tell me more
Select the “Create Consumption Report” link under the “Shop Floor Control“ business component.
The “Create Consumption Report” page appears.
The system displays the following:

Transaction No. |
The unique number identifying the transaction that is generated by the system (after saving the information). |
Enter the following:
|
Transaction Date |
The date on which the consumption is reported. The date specified should be less than or equal to current date. The system displays “Current Date” by default on launch of the page. |
The system displays the following:

Status |
The status of the transaction. The system retrieves “Confirmed” or “Fresh” after the transaction is done. |
Enter the following:

Work Order No. |
The number identifying the work order for which consumption reporting is done. Mandatory. |

The work order should be valid and the login user should have the permissions for the work order “Production Controller” control unit. The system checks for the status of the work order. The status should be greater than or equal to “Released” status or should be less than “Closed” status. System retrieves primary output items and the input items, if the specified work order exists. . The input item should be valid in work order product structure and if PP Seq is provided for any of the items in work order product structure, then the system retrieves the details only for the given item and PP Seq combination. The system also retrieves all the items in work order product structure except for items with issue type as “Backflush”. |

The name of the customer. This field is displayed based on the selected work order. |

Lot No. |
Use the drop-down list box to select the lot numbers along with a blank defined for the specified work order based on output item reporting. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of this page. |
The system displays the following:

Order Qty. |
The order quantity of the output item of the work order. Corresponding UOM will be displayed. |

UOM |
The production unit of measure of the output item of the work order. |
|
Order Start Date |
The date on which the specified work order has been started. |

Order Due Date |
The date on which the specified work order should be completed. |

Item Code |
The code identifying the output item of the selected work order. |

Variant Code |
The number or code identifying the variant of the output item of the selected work order. The system retrieves the corresponding item description. |
The system displays the following in the “Project Details” group box:

The code identifying the project. |

The OU where the project was created. |
Note: The Project Details section will be visible only when there is a mapping between Work Order and Project Code.
Enter the following details in the “Filter Option” group box:

Input Item Code |
The code identifying the input item of the selected work order that has to be reported. All the input items retrieved are non-backflush items. |

The system checks for the existence of the work order, if it exists, then the system checks whether the work order is valid. If it is valid, then retrieves Work Order Description, Order Qty, Order Start Date, Order Due Date, Work order primary output item and Variant, Lot number and input item details are also retrieved based on filter options. The input Item is checked for its validity in work order product structure and if PP Seq is provided for any of the items in the work order product structure, then the system retrieves the details only for given item and PP Seq combination. The system retrieves all items in work order product structure except for items with issue type “Backflush”. The system also retrieves the Item code, Variant, Item description, Consumed Qty, Manufacturing UOM, Lot no, Reported Qty, Returned qty, Planned qty, Issued Qty, Qty to confirm, PP Seq, Plant, Warehouse and PS Seq in the multiline. Input item information is grouped by PS Seq and Lot number if an item is issued in two lots, two lines are available for input item. |

The sequence number identifying the activity in the work order process plan of the given work order. |

The system checks whether the PP Seq is linked to any item in the work order product structure. If PP Seq is specified, then all the input items associated with the PP Seq are retrieved for reporting. If both Input item code and PP Seq is left blank, then the system retrieves all the input items associated at different PP Seq for reporting. |

Confirm Consumption |
Select the checkbox to display the input items consumed for the selected work order. The system leaves the box “Checked” by default on launch of the page. |

Lot No |
The lot number of the input item (Alphanumeric, 28). |
|
Sub Lot No |
The sub lot number of the input item (Alphanumeric, 3). |
Note: if confirm consumption is checked and if the item is serial controlled, then the following conditions are checked:
1. If the consumed quantity is equal to the issued quantity then the system allows end quantity reporting to “Yes” for serial control items. In such case all the serial numbers are considered as assigned. Otherwise end quantity reporting cannot be done in create mode. The system does not allow partial reporting for serial control items.
2. When transaction is confirmed for serial control items mark the serial number in ascending order as assigned. The assignment would be done for transaction number and PS Seq combination. The allocation of serial numbers will be based on ratio of output items to input items of work order product structure. In case multiple input serial numbers are mapped against one output serial number.
If confirm consumption is “Checked” and if the output item is lot controlled, then the following conditions are checked:
1. The output lot number should be available for input items with lot number.
2. The system sets the transaction status to “Confirmed” else sets the transaction status to “Fresh”.
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the corresponding work order and input item details.

The code identifying the input item of the selected work order for which consumption reporting is done. |

The system checks for the existence of the PS Seq, if it exists then it also checks if item code is available for that position in work order product structure and checks the status of the item to be “Active”. The system also displays the corresponding description of the item. |

End |
Use the drop-down list box to select the end of reporting for the specific line item. You can select from “Yes” or “No”. The system displays “No” by default on launch of the page. If the option “Yes” is selected, then the consumption reporting is completed for item. If the item is hard allocated and the difference between the hard allocation quantity and the consumption reported quantity is greater than zero, then the system deallocates the items. |

The quantity reported in the transaction but yet to be confirmed. The quantity represents the sum of reported transaction quantity for the work order that is not confirmed. |

The sequence number identifying the activity to which the input item is associated in the work order process plan. |

The plant where the issues of the input items are made. |

The code or number identifying the warehouse where the issues of the input items are made. |

Click the “Create Consumption Report” pushbutton to create consumption reporting for the input items of the work order.
The system saves the consumption details for each Work Order/PS Seq with Business Unit, Organization Unit, Work Order No, Item Code, Var, Consumed Qty, End, Lot No mapping, Warehouse, Transaction Status. The system maintains the summary information the Planned qty, Issue quantity, Reported qty, value of Inventory transaction.
The system updates the login ID of the user to the “Created By” and the system date to the “Created Date” field.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Production Return” link at the bottom of the page to specify the details of the returned items that are issued against the work order.
Select the “Edit Consumption Report” link at the bottom of the page to modify the consumption report details for the item of the selected work order.
Select the “Edit Serial No” link at the bottom of the page to modify serial numbers assigned to the items.
Select the “Attach Notes” link at the bottom of the page to specify notes details.
The system displays the following fields:
