This activity allows you with search criteria to search and retrieve the planning order details. Tell me more

The “Edit Planning Order” page appears.

Plg. Order No.

The number identifying the planning order based on which the planning order details are displayed.

Rep. Schedule No.

The number identifying the repetitive schedule based on which the planning order details are displayed.

Item Code

The code identifying the item based on which the planning order details are displayed.

Plg. Group

The code identifying the planning group for which a planning order has to be modified.

Prob.

Use the drop-down list box to select the problem related to the planning order. You can select from “No Problem”, “Material Problem”, “Capacity Problem”, “Matl & Cap. Problem”, “Engineering Change Problem”, “Order in Past date”, “Other Problems” or “Blank record”.

Matl/Prod. Controller

Use the drop-down list box to select the material or production controllers defined in the control unit for which the login user has at least “Modify” access permissions. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page.

The system retrieves the orders with specified Planning Order No, Repetitive Schedule No and Planning group. It also retrieves the orders having problem as selected in “Problem” combo, status as specified in “Status” combo and order category as selected in the “Order Category” combo.

If the Advance Search link has been visited along with the set of sort options and the search criteria, details may be saved as a sequence rule code or just set for a specific one-time search without save.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the logical operators used to combine with the status. You can select from “=”, “!=”, “>”, “>=”, “<”, “<=” or “Blank”. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page.

 

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the planning order. You can select from “Requested", “Accepted", “Firmed”, “Released” or “Blank”. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page.

Note: System parameter would have options if “Requested”, ”Accepted” or “Firmed” statuses are valid for the installation. Only valid statuses will be displayed in the combo.

Order Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the order category. You can select from “Non-Stockable Order by MRP”, “Non–Stockable Unplanned Order”, “Non-Stockable Repetitive Order” or “Blank”. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page.

Seq. Rule code

Use the drop-down list box to select the sequence rule codes with the available rule codes, which were created for Edit Planning Order, along with a blank record displayed on initiating the “Advance search” link.

Order Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the planning order. You can select from “Requested”, “Accepted”, “Firmed” or “Released”.

Note: System parameter would have options if “Requested”, ”Accepted” or “Firmed” statuses are valid for the installation. Only valid statuses will be displayed in the combo.

Save Template

Select the check box to save the details of the search criteria with the values specified in the current transaction to be displayed when the user revisits the screen. If an earlier transaction is saved with Save Template selected, the system populates the Search Criteria with the previously saved data. The system leaves the box "Checked" by default on launch of the page.

Plan Online

Select the check box to indicate whether the planning order is updated immediately or during next MRP run. The system leaves the box "Checked" by default on launch of the page.

Note: If “Plan Online” field is not “Enabled” and if any of the orders are marked for deletion or for either quantity, date or status change, the system marks them for modification during in the next MPS run.

If “Plan Online” field is “Enabled” and if the orders are marked for deletion or receipt quantity or start and due date is amended or the status of the planning order is changed, then the system updates the modification for all the affected orders.

The system displays the following in the “Work Order Details” multiline:

Plg. Order No.

The number identifying the planning order created.

Plg. Group

The number identifying the planning group of the planning order.

Item Code

The code identifying the item of the planning order.

Description

The description of the item.

Plan Qty

The quantity of the item that is to be produced based on the requirements or demands Mandatory.

Note: For each row selected in the multiline the “Plan Qty” should be greater than or equal to zero. If the production UOM of the item does not allow fractions, then decimals are not allowed in this field.

Start Date

The date on which the planning order has to be started Mandatory.

Due Date

The date on which the planning order has to be completed. Mandatory.

Note: For the selected row, either start date or due date should be specified. If start date is specified, it should be equal to or greater than the Current System Date.

The system displays the following in the “Work Order Details” multiline:

Status

The status of the planning order.

Problem

The problems related to the items and resources.

Plant

The plant where the planning order is to be created.

WH

The code identifying the warehouse where the planning order is to be created Mandatory.

UOM

The production unit of measure of the item.

Order Category

The order category of the planning order.

Purpose

The purpose defined for the planning order.

Remarks

The remark or comment specified by the user.

Field1

The remark or comment specified by the user.

Field2

The remark or comment specified by the user.

Field3

The remark or comment specified by the user.

The system ensures that at least one row in the multiline should have been selected by the user. The Planning Order, Plg Group/Item Code should be available in the system in "active" status.

The appropriate mode either Online or Batch can be selected. In case of “Online” mode errors are directly displayed in the screen. In case of “Batch” mode all errors can be viewed from “View Batch Error Log” screen. If “Edit planning Order” is called from any other UI, based on the values provided by the calling screen, the system retrieves the work order details.

For each Order No, the system saves Created By with login ID and Created Date with system date along with the modification details

Edit Planning Order - An overview

Activity overview

In order to edit the planning order you can enter the planning order no, item code and other details of the planning order in the search criteria and initiate the search. You can also perform an advance search to retrieve the sequence rule codes associated with the planning order in the search criteria. The system displays all the corresponding planning order details that match the search criteria in the multiline. 

You can modify the planned quantity, the start and due date of the planning order in the multiline. The planning orders that are in “Released” status cannot be modified. You can also delete the selected planning order details in the multiline. You have the option of saving the details defined in the search criteria if those details have to be reused for another planning order. The modifications to the planning orders are updated by the system.  Modification of planning order can be done online or during the next MRP run based on the selection of Plan online option
