Approve / Extend Permit – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to approve and/or extend a clearance permit. You can select the clearance permit to be approved or extended in the “Select Clearance Permit” page. You can approve the clearance permit in the “Approve Clearance Permit” page. You can extend the clearance permit in the “Extend Clearance Permit” page. The rights for approving or extending a clearance permit that is raised on equipment/location/permit type are set in the “Create User Roles and Rights” activity.

Approve or reject a clearance permit

You can approve or reject a clearance permit in this activity.

• Go to the “Approve Clearance Permit” page.

• Modify the details of the clearance permit and approve it

Extend a clearance permit

You can extend a clearance permit in this activity.

• Go to the “Extend Clearance Permit” page.

• Enter the period for which the clearance permit is extended and extend the permit.

Attach safety procedure to the clearance permit

You can attach safety procedure to the clearance permit. The safety procedure enumerates the hazards and precautions to be taken for carrying out the maintenance activity on the equipment for which clearance permit is created.

• Use the “Attach Safety Procedure” page to attach the safety procedure to the clearance permit.

View clearance Permit conflicts

You can view the clearance permits that have been created for the equipment or location.

• Use the “View Clearance Details” page to view the clearance permit conflicts based on activity or on clearance permit.

View all equipment and locations for which clearance permit is raised

You can also view in this activity all the equipment and locations on which clearance permits are raised.

• Use the “View Referred Equipment/Locations” page to view the other equipment and locations on which clearance permit is raised.
