Basics of using a Ramco iEnterprise Series 4.0 web page

Using Online Help

This page allows you to re-define the parameters that are already attached to the selected equipment. Tell me more.

The “Equipment Parameter” page appears.

Eqp.

The equipment for which you wish to modify the parameter details (Alphanumeric, 30).

Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the details of the parameters that are already attached to the equipment. The description of the equipment is displayed alongside.

Zoom facility available.

Type

The type of the equipment, which can be “Normal”, “Tool” or “Rotable”.

The system displays the following fields in the “Already Attached Parameter” multiline:

Parameter

The parameters attached to the equipment.

Type

The type of the parameter, which can be “Technical”, “Attribute”, “Consumption” or “Range”.

UOM

The unit of measurement of the consumption or range parameter.

Source

The source from which the parameter must be updated.

If you wish to change the source for the parameter, select the “Change Parameter Source” link provided at the bottom of the page. If you wish to save the details entered in this page, click the "Edit" pushbutton before taking the link for changing the source.

Hourly Usage

The estimated hourly consumption of the parameter (Decimal). Ensure that the value is positive. If you leave the field blank, the system sets this field to zero.

The system displays the following multiline fields:

Present Value

The current value of the parameter.

Date

The date on which the present value of the parameter is recorded.

Time

The time at which the present value of the parameter is recorded.

Seq. No.

A unique number that identifies the order in which the parameters must be displayed in the multiline (Integer). Ensure that the sequence number is a positive integer.

If you leave the sequence number blank for all the multiline rows, the system automatically assigns a sequence number to each of them, in multiples of five, on clicking the “Edit” pushbutton.

Note: If you have left the sequence number blank for some of the multiline rows, the system arranges those rows in the order in which the parameters have been entered in the multiline, and numbers these rows to be the last in the sequence. The system then rearranges the rows in the ascending order of the sequence number and renumbers the rows with multiples of five.

Remarks

Any additional information regarding modifying the equipment parameter (Alphanumeric, 150).

Formula

The formula to be associated to the parameter (Alphanumeric, 150). The formula should be specified  only for a parameter that is of type “Range” or “Consumption”, and whose source of updation is “Formula”. Ensure the following:

  • the formula is already defined in the “Create Formula” activity of the “Formula Builder” business component or in the “Create Formula” page in this activity.

  • the formula should be in “Active” status.

  • the formula does not contain the same parameter to which it is attached.

Help facility available.

Press <Enter>. The “Formula Content” field is displayed in the multiline.

The system displays the following field:

Formula Content

The content of the formula entered in the “Formula” field.

Note: Ensure that the parameter is not defined as the life parameter. Also ensure that values of the parameter have not been recorded to parameter history.

Parameter

The parameter to be attached to the equipment (Alphanumeric, 30) Ensure that the parameter is already defined in the “Create Parameter” activity and is in “Active” status. Also ensure that the parameter is unique for the equipment.

Date

The date on which the present value of the parameter is recorded (Date Format). Ensure that the date is not later than the current system date. Also ensure that the date is not earlier than the installation date of the equipment.

Time

The time at which the present value of the parameter is recorded (Time Format).

Redefining equipment parameters – An overview

Edit Equipment - A summary of the activity

The system also allows you to directly enter an equipment code, other than the equipment selected in the “Select Equipment” page, and re-define its parameters.

The system displays the parameters that are already attached to the equipment. You can specify the following details for these parameters:

You can attach more parameters to the equipment by entering the parameter, the present value of the parameter and the date and time at which the present value of the parameter is recorded. You can also specify the estimated hourly consumption of the parameter, the sequence in which the parameters must appear in the multiline and any other additional information relevant to the parameter.

Note: The source for updation for all newly attached parameters is “Manual”.

You can also delete the parameters that are already attached to the equipment.
