Record Inspection Details – An overview
A unique laboratory reference number is attached to each quality test performed for the item, which enables in tracking the samples tested.
There could be multiple samples tested for a request. The final batch classification would depend on the result of each sample. The system displays the status for all the samples tested based on the attribute status. The attribute status could be “Accepted”, “Rejected” or “Ignored”. For example, suppose five attributes are measured in a sample out of which four attributes have values within the acceptable limits, whereas the fifth attribute value is out of the allowed limit. Though four attributes are within the acceptable limits, the system would still show the sample status as “Rejected” based on the worst-case principle. You are allowed to revise the status suggested by the system by selecting the status you wish to assign. You could also choose to “Ignore” the sample for further processing.
When a request is of type “In-Process” inspection, the feedback from quality to production is entered only as a text. Hence, the feedback will have to be monitored procedurally within production. The results recorded against “In-Process” request are not considered for batch classifications. Such results will be considered for analysis and batch classification only if the check box “Use Result for Final Clearance” is checked.
