Master Production Schedule - By Source – A summary of the activity

The source is identified as warehouses or the organization units where the items/planning groups are valid. You can select the item/planning group for which the source has to be identified. You can also make use of the sort option to sort and display the details for the period or source. You can select the source and the MRP release options for which the MPS details are retrieved in the multiline. The MPS quantity split by source can be partially or completely released to MRP.

For the total MPS quantity displayed in the header, you can select the MPS source based on which the items/planning groups are split. The system retrieves the corresponding MPS item/planning group details split by source selected onto the multiline. You can specify the MPS source quantity to be split and the method of releasing the MPS quantity to MRP. You can release the MPS source quantity partially or completely depending on the requirement of the item/planning group. On splitting the total MPS quantity, you can initiate the save operation to save the MPS details. You can execute the master production schedule by source in online or batch mode. In online mode, you can execute the MPS immediately. Otherwise, the MPS details are processed in batches as and when required. You have the facility to select the links provided at the bottom of the page to view the rough-cut capacity plan, RCCP exception, demand and supply details. You can also view the free stock and item manufacturing information. You can also upload or download the MPS details to an excel file and modify the work orders attached.
