This activity allows you to reverse the quantity of the input items for which consumption has been reported. Tell me more

The “Create Consumption Reversal” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Transaction No.

The number identifying the consumption reversal transaction that is automatically generated by the system, after saving the transaction.

Transaction Date

The transaction date on which the consumption is reversed. The date specified should be less than or equal to current date.

The system displays the following:

Status

The status of the reversal transaction. It can be “Fresh” or “Authorized”. This field is displayed after saving the transaction.

Work Order No.

The number identifying the work order for which the reversal has to be done. Mandatory. For this work order at least one consumption transaction should be available. The work order should be valid and the login user should have the permissions for the work order “Production Controller” control unit. The system checks for the status of the work order. The status should be greater than or equal to “Released” status or should be less than “Closed” status.

The system checks for the existence of the work order, if it exists, then it checks whether the work order is valid. If it is valid, then retrieves Work Order Description, Order Qty, Order Start Date, Order Due Date, Work order primary output item and Variant, Lot number and input item details are also retrieved based on filter options. The input Item is checked for its validity in work order product structure and if PP Seq is provided for any of the items in the work order product structure, then the system retrieves the details only for given item and PP Seq combination. The system retrieves all items in work order product structure except for items with issue type “Backflush”. The system also retrieves the Item code, Variant, Item description, Reported Qty, Manufacturing UOM, Lot no, PP Seq, Plant, Warehouse and PS Seq in the multiline. Input item information is grouped by PS Seq and Lot number if an item is issued in two lots, two lines are available for input item.

The system displays the following:

Customer Name

The name of the customer.

 

Zoom facility available.

Lot No.

The number identifying the lot defined for the out put items for which transaction to be reversed.

The system checks for the existence of the work order, if it exists, then it checks whether the work order is valid. If it is valid, then retrieves Work Order Description, Order Qty, Order Start Date, Order Due Date, Work order primary output item and Variant, Lot number and input item details are also retrieved based on filter options. The system ensures that the Lot number is valid for the work order output item

The system displays the following:

Order Qty.

The order quantity of the output item of the work order.

UOM

The production unit of measure of the output item of the work order.

Order Start Date

The date on which the work order has to be started.

Order Due Date

The date on which the work order has to be completed.

Item Code

The code identifying the item of the work order.

Variant Code

The variant of the item of the work order.

Desc.

The description of the item of the work order.

The system displays the following in the “Project Details” group box:

Project Code

The code identifying the project.

Project Description

The description of the project.

Created at OU

The OU where the project was created.

Note: The Project Details section will be visible only when there is a mapping between Work Order and Project Code.

Input Item Code

The code identifying the input item of the work order.

The item code is checked for its existence in the work order product structure. The system checks for the existence of the work order, if it exists, then it checks whether the work order is valid. If it is valid, then retrieves Work Order Description, Order Qty, Order Start Date, Order Due Date, Work order primary output item and Variant, Lot number and input item details are also retrieved based on filter options. The input Item is checked for its validity in work order product structure and if PP Seq is provided for any of the items in the work order product structure, then the system retrieves the details only for given item and PP Seq combination. PP Seq.

The number identifying the activity sequence of the input item in the work order process plan.

 

Press <Enter> key.

 

The PP Seq is checked whether it is linked to any item in the work order product structure. The system checks for the existence of the work order, if it exists, then it checks whether the work order is valid. If it is valid, then retrieves Work Order Description, Order Qty, Order Start Date, Order Due Date, Work order primary output item and Variant, Lot number and input item details are also retrieved based on filter options. The input Item is checked for its validity in work order product structure and if PP Seq is provided for any of the items in the work order product structure, then the system retrieves the details only for given item and PP Seq combination. The system retrieves all items in work order product structure except for items with issue type “Backflush”. The system also retrieves the Item code, Variant, Item description, Reported Qty, Manufacturing UOM, Lot no, PP Seq, Plant, Warehouse and PS Seq. Lot No

The lot number of the input item (Alphanumeric, 28).

Sub Lot No

The sub lot number of the input item (Alphanumeric, 3).

The system displays the following in the “Input Item Details” multiline:

Item Code

The number identifying the input item for which consumption has to be reversed. The item for which revised quantity is entered cannot be serial controlled item. If the item is serial controlled, those items can be revised by deselecting them in a separate screen.

Variant Code

The variant of the input for which consumption has to be reversed.

Item Desc.

The description of the input item.

Reported Qty.

The reported quantity of the input item retained in all the transactions. The quantity represents the sum of accepted and rejected quantity.

Revised Consumed Qty.

The revised consumed quantity of the input item for which consumption reversal has to be done. The quantity can be left blank or if specified, it should be greater than zero.

The system displays the following in the “Input Item Details” multiline:

UOM

The production unit of measure of the input item.

Lot No.

The number identifying the lot defined for the input items for which reversal has to be done.

Sub Lot No

The sub lot number of the input item.

PP Seq.

The number identifying the activity sequence of the input item in the work order process plan.

Plant

The plant where the issues of the input items are made.

Warehouse Code

The code or number identifying the warehouse where the issues of the input items are made.

The system checks whether the revised accepted quantity is reported. If reported, saves the consumption reversal details. The system update the lot balances by reducing the reported quantity to the extent of the difference between the accepted and rejected quantity.  If the item is lot controlled then balances are maintained at lot level.

The system updates the login ID of the user to the “Created By” and the system date to the “Created Date” field.
