This activity allows you to reverse the quantity of the input items for which consumption has been reported. Tell me more
Select the “Consumption Reversal” link under the “Shop Floor Control“ business component.
The “Create Consumption Reversal” page appears.
The system displays the following:

Transaction No. |
The number identifying the consumption reversal transaction that is automatically generated by the system, after saving the transaction. |
Enter the following:

Transaction Date |
The transaction date on which the consumption is reversed. The date specified should be less than or equal to current date. |
The system displays the following:

Status |
The status of the reversal transaction. It can be “Fresh” or “Authorized”. This field is displayed after saving the transaction. |
Enter the following:

Work Order No. |
The number identifying the work order for which the reversal has to be done. Mandatory. For this work order at least one consumption transaction should be available. The work order should be valid and the login user should have the permissions for the work order “Production Controller” control unit. The system checks for the status of the work order. The status should be greater than or equal to “Released” status or should be less than “Closed” status. |

If it is valid, then retrieves Work Order Description, Order Qty, Order Start Date, Order Due Date, Work order primary output item and Variant, Lot number and input item details are also retrieved based on filter options. The input Item is checked for its validity in work order product structure and if PP Seq is provided for any of the items in the work order product structure, then the system retrieves the details only for given item and PP Seq combination. The system retrieves all items in work order product structure except for items with issue type “Backflush”. The system also retrieves the Item code, Variant, Item description, Reported Qty, Manufacturing UOM, Lot no, PP Seq, Plant, Warehouse and PS Seq in the multiline. Input item information is grouped by PS Seq and Lot number if an item is issued in two lots, two lines are available for input item. |

The number identifying the input item for which consumption has to be reversed. The item for which revised quantity is entered cannot be serial controlled item. If the item is serial controlled, those items can be revised by deselecting them in a separate screen. |

The description of the input item. |

Reported Qty. |
The reported quantity of the input item retained in all the transactions. The quantity represents the sum of accepted and rejected quantity. |

The revised consumed quantity of the input item for which consumption reversal has to be done. The quantity can be left blank or if specified, it should be greater than zero. |

Click the "Create Consumption Reversal” pushbutton to create consumption reversal.
The system checks whether the revised accepted quantity is reported. If reported, saves the consumption reversal details. The system update the lot balances by reducing the reported quantity to the extent of the difference between the accepted and rejected quantity. If the item is lot controlled then balances are maintained at lot level.
The system updates the login ID of the user to the “Created By” and the system date to the “Created Date” field.

Select the “Edit Serial Nos” link at the bottom of the page to modify the serial number details.
Select the “Attach Notes” link at the bottom of the page to specify notes details.
