Edit Work Order Product Structure – A summary of the activity

You can modify the product structure created for a work order and can be invoked from other screens where modification of work order product structure is required. You can use this screen to modify or add the secondary output items/ by-products/ co-products and the input items. In order to modify the items, you can select the work order using the help facility and retrieve the details onto the respective fields. The warehouse and the quantity tolerance of the primary output item can be modified using this screen. The items with material problems can be displayed in the multiline.

You can add a new item to the product structure by assigning a position sequence number and can link it to a specific activity based on requirement. When a work order quantity or its start or due date is changed, the demand for the input items are also modified for the new quantity or the required date. In such case, reservation is re-attempted for the new quantity and date. If reservation is not possible then this is marked as a problem demand and it will be taken care of during the next MRP run.

Apart from modifying, you can also delete the existing input items by selecting the product structure details in the multiline. Necessary help screens are provided to select and retrieve the item code, warehouse, and process plan sequence details of the secondary output items or input items. On editing or deleting the details, you can update the changes made to the product structure of the work order. You can make use of the links provided at the bottom of the page. The “Select Alternate Items” link allows you to select the alternate item for the specified item. The “Edit Work Order Notes” link to modify the note details of the work order. The “View WO Header” link to view the header details of the work order. The “Split WO” link to split the work order details. The “Inquire Company Stock” link to view the free stock information of the item.The “Create and Authorize Production Issue” link to create and authorize the details of the production issue.
