Create Maintenance Plan – A summary of the activity
This activity allows you to create a maintenance plan for planning the shutdown activities of a plant or a part of the plant, which involves carrying out tasks on various equipment or location or for planning for a project.
Planning broadly consists of the following steps:
Creating a plan with a unique code and description
Identifying the equipment and location on which the activities have to be planned
Identifying the tasks, procedures and services that have to be carried out on the equipment or location.
Creating work orders for carrying out the tasks, procedures and services included in the plan.
Attaching the already created work orders, inspection orders and calibration orders, if any, that must be carried out as a part of the plan.
Planning for the material that is required for the execution of the plan.
You can create a plan with a unique code and identify the various equipment and locations that are involved in the execution of the plan in the “Create Maintenance Plan” page.

You can view the parts that are required for carrying out the plan as well the spare parts that are available. Based on the requirement and availability, you can raise purchase requests for the parts that are required.
