Create Stock Transfer Order – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to create a stock transfer order. Stock transfer order deals with transfer of stock between warehouses and locations in response to distribution requirements. Stock in some warehouses needs to be moved to other warehouses where the stock is required. In a centralized distribution planning setup, requirements are consolidated and stock transfer orders are then raised for moving stock between warehouses. A stock transfer order can be from one shipping point to multiple receiving warehouses. A stock transfer order can be raised at a point (ordering point) different from the shipping point and the receiving point. For instance, stock transfer order could be raised at a centralized distribution planning location, for moving stock between warehouses. A stock transfer order can be raised at the shipping point or receiving point based on the distribution requirement.

This activity allows you to create stock transfer order. You can specify the shipping and receipt location, their corresponding warehouses and quantity of items that must be dispatched. This activity also facilitates you to specify attribute details pertaining to each order line number, important textual information related to stock transfer order, accounting information and creating schedule details for each order line number. This activity also allows you to view the stock status and ATP details.
