This activity allows you to create a company calendar. Tell me more
Select the “Create Company Calendar” link under the “Time Model” business component.
The “Create Company Calendar” page appears.
Enter the following fields:

The unique number identifying the company calendar that must be entered manually Mandatory. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the company calendar. The system displays “Active” by default on launch of the page. The options available are |

Note: The status can be modified through the “Edit Company Calendar” screen.

Calendar From |
The date from which the company calendar has to be generated. Mandatory. The date cannot be left blank. The calendar from date can be before the system date. For example, if the system date is today then the Calendar from date can also be 01/01/2003. |

Calendar To |
The date till which the company calendar is valid. The “Calendar To” date should not be earlier to the “Calendar From” date. If it is earlier, then the system will display an error message. If the calendar to date is not specified, then the system defaults this field for one year (that is) the calendar to date is represented as the sum of calendar from date and one year. For example if Calendar from date is 04/06/2003, then Calendar to date will be 04/06/2004. |

Sunday |
Use the drop-down list box to map sunday of the week onto a particular day type. The system retrieves the values from the day types master. The day type should be in “Active” status. The system displays “First Value of the day types” by default on launch of the page. |

Use the drop-down list box to map monday of the week onto a particular day type. The system retrieves the values from the day types master. The day type should be in “Active” status. The system displays “First Value of the day types” by default on launch of the page. |

Tuesday |
Use the drop-down list box to map tuesday of the week onto a particular day type. The system retrieves the values from the day types master. The day type should be in “Active” status. The system displays “First Value of the day types” by default on launch of the page. |

Wednesday |
Use the drop-down list box to map wednesday of the week onto a particular day type. The system retrieves the values from the day types master. The day type should be in “Active” status. The system displays “First Value of the day types” by default on launch of the page. |

Thursday |

Maintained By |
Use the drop-down list box to select the “Maintained By” control units for which the login user has at least “View” access permission. The system displays “Default Maintained By” by default on launch of the page. |

Create Resource Calendar |
Select the check box to indicate the auto generation of resource calendar. The system leaves the box “Checked” by default on launch of the page. If this field is checked, all day types of non-holiday type for the specified company calendar should have a default timetable linked to it. In addition the system generates the resource calendar having “Active” status with the resource calendar number being the same as the company calendar number. Otherwise, the system displays an error message. |
Enter the following in the “Holidays / Exceptions Details” multiline:

From Date |
The start date of the period to define the Holidays/Exception details. If the to date is specified then from date should also be specified. If from date is greater than the to date, then the system displays an error message. |
Note: For each row entered in the multiline, from date should also be entered.

To Date |
The end date of the period to define the Holidays/Exception details. The from date and to date should be within the calendar from and calendar to dates. If to date is not specified, then the to date is set to from date. |

Day Of Week |
Use the drop-down list box to select the seven days of the week. You can select from “Sunday”, “Monday”, “Tuesday”, “Wednesday”, “Thursday”, “Friday”, “Saturday” or “Blank”. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page. |

Day Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the user-defined day type attached to a particular day. The system retrieves the values from the day type master. The day type should be in “Active” status. The system displays “First Value of the day types” by default on launch of the page. If the from date or to date is specified, then the day type should also be selected. |

Remarks |
The comment or remark of the company calendar. |
Check the box in the “Select” column to select the holidays/exceptions for creating company calendar details.
Click the “Create Company Calendar” pushbutton to create company calendar.
The system ensures that the login user should have “All” access permission to the “Maintained By” control unit. For all the selected and valid rows in the multiline, the from and to dates should not overlap with each other date. If there is an overlap, then at least the day of the week should not be the same or blank for either one of the rows.
The system checks the status of the company calendar. If the status is “Inactive” or “Draft”, then the system saves the details of the company calendar without generating any validation. If the status is “Active” then the system generates all the validations and saves the details of the company calendar.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Edit Company Calendar” link at the bottom of the page to modify the company calendar details.
Select the “View Company Calendar” link at the bottom of the page to view the company calendar details.
Select the “Create Day Types” link at the bottom of the page to create day types.
Select the “Create Resource Calendar” link at the bottom of the page to create a resource calendar.
The login user ID and the system date are updated in the “Created By” and “Created Date” fields.
