This activity allows you to create a day type. Tell me more
Select the “Create Day Types” link under the “Time Model” business component.
The “Create Day Type” page appears.
Enter the following fields:

Day Type No. |
The unique number identifying the day type entered manually. The day type should not be left blank. Mandatory. |
Click “Get” pushbutton to retrieve the day type details.

Desc. |
The description of the day type. |

Zoom facility available. | |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the day type. The system displays “Active” by default on launch of the page. The options available are |

Note: The status can be modified through the “Edit Day Types” screen.

Maintained By |
Use the drop-down list box to select the “Maintained By” control units for which the login user has at least “View” access permission. The system displays “Default Maintained By” by default on launch of the page. |

Time Table No. |
The number identifying the timetable either entered manually or retrieved using the help facility. If the timetable is specified, it should exist in the timetable master. If the holiday field is checked, then the timetable number should be left blank. |

Holiday |
Select the check box to indicate whether the type of the day is a holiday or not. The system leaves the box “Unchecked” by default on launch of the page. If the holiday field is unchecked, then the timetable should not be left blank. |
Click the “Create Day Types” pushbutton to create the day types.
The system ensures that the login user should have “All” access permission to the “Maintained By” control unit. The system checks the status of the day type. If the status is “Inactive” or “Draft” then the system saves the day type details without generating the validations. The system saves the day type details.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Edit Day Types” link at the bottom of the page to modify the day types.
Select the “Create Shift Details” link at the bottom of the page to create the shift details.
The login user ID and the system date are updated in the “Created By” and “Created Date” fields.
The system displays the following:

Created By |
The login user ID of the person who has created the day types. |

Created Date |
The date on which the day types was created. |
Optional
Maintained By must be defined in the “Create Control Unit” activity under the “Organisation Model” business component.
Time Table No must be defined in the “Create Shift Details” activity under the “Time Model” business component.
