Create Planning Order – A summary of the activity

Planning group is a logical entity that identifies items with similar planning characteristics. You can enter the planning group or make use of the help provided to retrieve the planning group for which the planning order is created. The valid plants defined for the planning group can be selected. You can enter the quantity and date details for the specified planning order in the multiline.

The planning order number generation can be either “Manual” or “Automatic” depending on the work order number option selected in the header. In either case the system checks for the uniqueness of the planning order. You can create the planning order number manually. System also generates the planning order number if the WO No Option is set to Automatic.  You can also specify plan quantity, status, start and due date. The problems associated to the planning group are also displayed in the multiline. You have the option of creating the planning order immediately by enabling the online mode or else the order is be generated during next MRP run. This screen presents “Edit Planning Order” link to edit the created planning order details for the selected planning group, “Edit Bill of Resources” link to modify the bill of resources attached to the planning order and “Edit Planning Order Bill” to modify the bill details defined for the planning order.
