Define Other Systems – A summary of the activity
A location can refer to a physical location within the plant where the equipment is installed, or the place where equipment may be moved for repair, storage or testing, or any other location that you have defined. A group of locations can be logically arranged to form a hierarchy to model various system and sub-systems existing in the enterprise. You can define such systems in this activity. For example, in a Thermal Power Plant, you can model “Systems” as hierarchical structures of locations, to represent, say, Ash Handling System, Power Distribution System, Raw Water Supply System etc.
This activity allows you to create systems containing multi-level hierarchy.
The location at the first or the top most level in the hierarchy is referred to as the apex location. A location cannot be attached to a system at more than one level in the hierarchy.
