EAM Maintenance Organization – An overview
Introduction
The Maintenance Organization business component provides the definition and description of the following:

Types of locations
User defined grouping of locations
Hierarchical Location Structures
Planning Groups
Definition of work request and work order priority
It models the business processes to determine relationship between location, planning group, location structures and interactions with other components/systems within a reference organization model. With the help of multiple location structures, entire plant can be modeled in a variety of ways for the sake of analysis and reviews from multiple perspectives.
