This page allows you to select the engineering change requests (ECR). For the selected requests, you can modify the necessary details. The engineering change requests can be searched based on criteria specified. You can specify the ECR Requested Date, ECR Status, ECR Requested By, ECR Description, EC Need Date, Item Code and Component under revision and the control Unit in the search criteria. Based on the search criteria, the corresponding EC request details are retrieved to the multiline. You can select each engineering change request details in the multiline and can initiate the respective link to perform modification.
Select the “Edit Engineering Change Request” link under the “Engineering Change Control” business component.
The “Select ECR” page appears.
Enter any one of the following fields or a combination of the fields:
ECR Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the engineering change request. You can select from "Active", "Inactive", "Authorized", "Resolved", “All" or "Implemented". The system displays “Active” by default on launch of the page. |
Requested By |
The person who has requested the engineering change. |
Requested Date |
The date on which the engineering change is requested. |
ECR Desc. |
The description of the engineering change request. |
Zoom facility available. |

EC Need Date |
The date on which the engineering change is required. |
Item Code |
The code identifying the item under engineering change. |
Help facility available. |

Component |
The code identifying the component (input item of a product structure) under engineering change. |
Help facility available. |

Maintained By |
Use the drop-down list box to select the “Maintained By” control unit for which the login user has EC permissions. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the engineering change request details in the multiline.
The system retrieves all the engineering change details that match the details specified in the above-mentioned fields to the multiline.
The system displays the following in the “ECR Details” multiline:

The description of the engineering change request. |
Requested By |
The person who is responsible for requesting the engineering change. |
Requested Date |
The date on which the engineering change is requested. |
EC Need Date |
The date on which the engineering change is required. |

The status of the engineering change request. |
Maintained By |
The “Maintained By” control unit for which the login user has EC permissions. |

Select the “Edit Engineering Change Request” link at the bottom of the page to modify the engineering change requests.
Select the “Edit Item Revision” link at the bottom of the page to modify the item revision details.
Select the “Edit Component Revision” link at the bottom of the page to modify the component revision details.
Select the “Edit Process Plan Revision” link at the bottom of the page to modify the process Plan revision details.
Select the “Edit EC Steps” link at the bottom of the page to modify the engineering change steps.
Select the “Implement Engineering Change” link at the bottom of the page to implement the engineering changes.
