Create Rework Order – A summary of the activity

The activity allows you to create a re-work order for the faulty items. You can re-work on output items, which have the item source as Manufactured. When an item is manufactured in lot, it is possible to have certain defective pieces. If those defective pieces of the item can be corrected, then you can raise a rework order.  If the online mode is selected, the rework order is raised immediately. Otherwise, it is treated as pending transaction and the rework order is generated when MRP is run. You can either enter or retrieve the work order reference number against which the attached product structure, process plan and sale order get displayed in the header. The user has the flexibility to specify another Product Structure or Process Plan to override the ones suggested by the system or retrieved as per the Work Order Reference Number. The re-work order number can be defined using the manual or automatic option.
