Create Procedure – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to create a procedure. A procedure is a collection of related tasks grouped together to carry out a particular maintenance work. Tasks that have to be performed to resolve a problem in the equipment or location, and that needs to be performed and monitored together, can be grouped into a procedure.

You can identify the procedure with a unique code. You can also create a procedure by copying the details from a procedure that is already defined in the system.

You can specify the skills, tools, spare parts and any other resources that are required for carrying out the procedure effectively. The procedure inherits the resource requirements that have been specified for the tasks  attached to the procedure. You can add more resources or modify or delete the existing resources for the tasks that belong to the procedure. Apart from the resources that are specified for the task, resources can also be specified for the procedure. These resources are referred as the additional requirements of the procedure.
