Time Model – An overview
Introduction
Calendars play a very important role in having a realistic schedule for the work orders in the shop. This component allows you to define the calendars of your organization. While these calendars can be generic for all your plants or resources, you may also have multiple calendars for each of the plants or even for specific product lines or resources. These calendars form a key input to the planning and scheduling function, whereby the capacity availability would govern the schedule of the jobs. Using this tool, you can define your working days, holidays, maintenance shut down, and other activities that need to be considered for scheduling.
